Monika Oroszlan greets everyone she meets with a warm smile and welcoming demeanour.  When she speaks about Thistlecreek’s services, her passion for personalized, quality home care is evident. 

 

No stranger to care-giving, she has years of personal and professional experience caring for family, friends and clients. Her decision to close her other business of 15 years and enter the health care profession came after she spent time caring for a family friend. During this time she realized that providing care for seniors was her calling and her passion. She wanted to take this experience and offer her support and services to others in need. 

 

Joining Thistlecreek in 2016 as a caregiver, she spent the next three years acquiring the skills and expertise needed to start her own health care company: as a caregiver, administrator, care plan manager and office manager. Monika’s hands-on experience in all aspects of the profession gives her a unique perspective on what is required to provide quality care.

 

In July of 2019 Monika purchased Thistlecreek Health Care Inc. As the new owner/manager, she continues to honour the company’s legacy to provide clients the high level of quality and care for which Thistlecreek is known. Focusing on a positive and nurturing experience, Monika goes to great lengths creating the perfect pairing of the right caregivers and clients, knowing that caregivers become friends and confidants over time. She personally meets with each new client, getting to know them and their family is integral to providing the best possible care. This is also true when it comes to the caregivers, or as she likes to call them her ‘Ladies’. Monika knows each of them personally and takes great pride in knowing that Thistlecreek is a warm and friendly work environment.

 

Monika has called Oakville home since 2003, is a mom of two children and to Coco, her fur-baby, Thistlecreek’s unofficial mascot.
