WOW! I feel tired just remembering all you did. For you, doing things right comes naturally and you may not realize how much struggling you save me when you visit. I enjoy our coffee break when we tell stories and trade photos on the i-pad. Laughing is good for the soul when you tell me puddle-sliding cat stories about your cat and I tell the latest about the little girls up North! Merci...

I am so thankful to have found Thistlecreek Health Care. They have such an amazing team of people, from the owner, to the administrative team, right down to the care workers. While my mom was in the hospital we realized we needed more help and care for her, particularly for meals and companionship. The Thistlecreek team jumped in to help us with very little notice. They were there when we needed them. Christina was always on top of what was happening, always responding to calls and emails immediately. The PSW's who came to care for my mother were so caring, kind, and compassionate. We got to know very many of the PSW's including Maria and Fiona. They gave us peace of mind knowing they were there for my Mom. They were there not only to help my mom with health care needs but also to hold her hand and offer a friendly voice. Just a note of thanks to you and all the girls/ladies for attending to my Mom over the past few years. They all have been so very kind and caring and at any time there has been a problem, it has been dealt with efficiently. If a caregiver and Mom don't seem to gel, they have promptly found someone else to take that spot, each time with great success.We have used other agencies in the past which did not prove to be satisfactory. Thistlecreek came recommended by a friend and we were delighted by the thought put in finding a suitable match for my Mom.

Both ladies at the office have been attentive to our needs, have listened carefully to our concerns and act quickly to solve any difficult problems. Thank you again for doing a tremendous job. Your PSW's have been great and treat Mom with care and respect. Its's so good to know that Mom has a visitor each day from Thistlecreek since the family is not able to see Mom because of busy schedules. "The ThistleCreek team was essential in the care of our mother at the start of the pandemic, through to her safe placing in long term care this fall. They saved our mom, and us (her three children) as we found ourselves in a dreadful situation when the pandemic hit. The Thistle Creek team was there for us immediately, literally 30 minutes after I called Monika she arrived. The loving nurses were skilled, patient and loving to our mother with advanced dementia, The kind nurses were there for our mom and guided us through every stage of her ever-changing care since the pandemic locked out my brother and sister and I for months. They were her surrogate family and treated her with love and care, kept us up to date on what was happening and what to do next. Their experience and thoughtful touches made a huge difference to her care and our peace of mind. They were there for 24 hours a day to delicately support her as her dementia progressed rapidly. They went above and beyond regularly such as celebrating her birthday with gifts, taking her to the hospital, making sure she had specific items she needed, phoning her just to talk and keep her company, making a scrapbook for her with pictures and cards. We are extremely grateful for Monika, Donna, Cornelia, Beverly and Judith for their attention to detail, attentive care and working with us (her three kids) as the situation unfolded and changed. I know in her heart she is grateful and we thank you sincerely."

Elanor and I would like to express our sincere appreciation for the outstanding, loving support and care you and your wonderful team provided for our Uncle Liam and our family in his final weeks. Your care helped ensure those difficult weeks were filled with laughter, gentleness, kindness, respect and dignity.
As you know, our Uncle Liam enjoyed living at Churchill Place and was well taken care of by the staff there. However, there came a time he became too frail with his bone cancer and we needed on very short notice to bring in 24 hour care. Thankfully Thistlecreek Health Care was referred to us.
Upon reaching out to you, you came within an hour of our call to personally meet with us and our Uncle to assess his needs and determine who on your team would be a good personality and skill fit to help provide PSW and nursing care. Within 3 hours you had arrange 24 hours support from then to the end of his life 3 weeks later. This sense of urgency and genuine commitment continued as both of you made personal visits each week to check in on our Uncle and our family and to see that the arrangements were working to everyone's satisfaction.
The on-going communication with your management team as well as the individual care workers and nurses was very helpful letting the family know how he was sleeping, eating and any activities he enjoyed when we were not there.
